Ok so here’s the deal. I used to have a iPhone 3G. It was really slow. Then it took a ride through my washing machine. Full cycle, bubbles, fabric softener, the whole deal. I took it out of the washer dripping wet and everything. It was off obviously, with no hope of turning on. I dried it in rice, which actually worked, with a few problems. The vibrate ceased to work, the camera wouldn’t take pics, the GPS was horribly off, and the battery got worse and worse every day.
So when the new iPhone 4 was released I figured I might as well get one. A couple weeks after it came out I waited in line outside an Apple store with the other sheep, sweating in the hot sun on the sidewalk for an hour and a half. Got my phone knowing about the issues, but thinking it wouldn’t… Read the rest

Drinking game during Montreal game
Start the game off by gunning a molson cold shot
Grab a beer and take a sip for every stoppage in play. Also, drink two whenever:
- Too many men on the ice penalty called
- Commentators point out a call the refs missed.
- Don tells Ron to shut up
- Don calls Ron a name
- Every goal (plus 1 for the stoppage of play!)
Chug your beer when…
- Commentators point out ‘The momentum just changed’
- After a questionable goal they show the backup goalie on the bench
- ‘They are letting them play’ or ‘Put the whistles in their pocket’
- If we see bettman on TV. (this is so you don’t throw your drink at him)
Unless the game is a total bust you should be feeling pretty good right… Read the rest

The second beer Ben and I are tasting as part of our LCBO tour (read more here) is a strong one. The Mill Street Barley Wine is not your typical beer – it’s an 11% alcohol unfiltered beer. Usually Ben and I have trepidations about drinking a beer

Innis & Gunn
This is the first beer we are tasting on this new section we are working on, the LCBO tour. For those just joining the tour, this is where Ben and I attempt to rate beers on one simple point – drinkability.
Innis & Gunn Oak Aged Beer is Scottish beer made with a unique method. The beer is brewed in Scotland and aged for 30 days in American oak bottles used to hold Bourbon.
Almost everything about this beer is perfect. It comes in a very nice bottle which gets you ready for the pure delight contained within. Upon cracking open the bottle we were greeted with a delicious aroma with hints of honey and vanilla.
The beer itself is a medium strength and color and is described as “Luxurious malt and toffee giving way to mellow oak with vanilla overtones. Balanced by the… Read the rest

So Ben and I have decided to start up a new section on the site after a visit to the local liquor store. We were baffled by the large selection of imported and domestic beers and wondering which would taste like horse piss, and which would delight our taste buds. The questions raged through our minds – Was this beer going to bring us back that first taste of duff that touched our lips, or would it turn sour in our mouth? What if we drank it last week and hated it?
It was clear we needed to help ourselves and our fellow beer drinkers by finding out which beers were worth their malt, and which should stay on that shelf. We will evaluate each beer we find mainly based on how easy it goes down the hatch.

Just finished up a job in Montreal doing networking for our new office we are setting up. With the help of a couple of guys (and a few beers), we were able to wire up the new office without too much difficulty. Check out the pics below:

So I’ve got two new albums online – hot and not.
Hot: A trip through the Audi Dealership in Montreal. Some nice pics of an R8, S5, and more.
Not: Ben’s new Sonoma. Looks like it needs a bit of work.

Just an update in the photo gallery – there are two new gallerys I added recently with some pictures from a few drives around Ottawa we’ve done. Some spectacular pics of Rideau Falls and some others from along the Ottawa River up to Pinhey’s Point. Enjoy

Today I have two nice ones. First is an Audi with a spoiler much too large (and with the ’4′ backwards). Second is a horrible Pontiac Sunfire with too much orange on it.

In this special, I’ve got a minivan with some decidedly not-stock rims. I wonder if it went down like this:
Wife: “Honey, you need to sell your ’98 Honda Civic so we can get a van for the kids”
Husband: “What!? Are you kidding? I’ve put $10k into that car – turbo, roof scoop, cold air intake, new exhaust, and my 18′ chromes!!!”
Wife: “Whatever, keep the rims”
And thus we ended up with this:
